United Pumps Australia (UPA) is an Australian owned manufacturer of centrifugal pumps, primarily for the oil & gas industry. The company’s major focus is on manufacture and service of centrifugal pumps in accordance with the latest American Petroleum Institute (API) Standard API 610.The product technology is from Flowserve Corporation, U.S.A.  under a manufacturing license agreement.

 

History:

Pump manufacture originally started in 1940 as Harland Engineering (Australia) Pty Ltd. In 1971 it became the pump division of Industrial Engineering (IEL, Indeng).

United Pumps Australia was established in 1984, taking over the licence agreement with then BWIP ( now Flowserve ) for manufacture of ‘United’ pumps.
